Poker Flat Research Range offers free summer walking tours! Tour the largest land-based rocket range in the world and the only high-latitude range in the U.S. Learn about the exciting science that happens at the range and see some of the facilities, including the Blockhouse and the launch pads.
Summer tour dates are typically alternate Thursdays, May through August. Follow Poker Flat’s Facebook page or check back in the spring when dates are announced.
Summer walking tours start at 2 p.m. and last about 2 hours. The gate opens about 1:30 p.m. No tickets or reservations required. Visit https://www.pfrr.alaska.edu/ for more information.
